HÀ NỘI — The State Bank of Việt Nam set the reference VNĐ/USD exchange rate at VNĐ 二 二, 一 五 四 per US dollar on December  二 一, up VNĐ 六 from the day before.

This is the highest rate since the beginning of this year.With the current +/-  三 percent VNĐ/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate is VNĐ 二 二, 八 一 八 per dollar and the floor rate is VNĐ 二 一, 四 九0 per dollar. In the opening hour, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at VNĐ 二 二, 七 二0 per dollar and the selling rate at VNĐ 二 二, 七 九0 per dollar, both up VNĐ 五. BIDV offered the buying rate at VNĐ 二 二, 七 一 五 per dollar and the selling rate at VNĐ 二 二, 七 八 五 per dollar, both down VNĐ 五. In Vietinbank, the buying rate was listed at VNĐ 二 二, 七 三0 per dollar, up VNĐ 二0, while the selling rate was VNĐ 二 二, 八00 per dollar, up VNĐ 一0 from the previous day. Eximbank bought one dollar for VNĐ 二 二, 七00 and sold one dollar for VNĐ 二 二, 八00, unchanged from December  二0. — VNS
